Drop Off Items for recycling

Homemakers welcomes all drop off’s from householders living within the Monmouthshire County Council unitary authority area. We are happy to sort through any household goods you may have.

If you are able to sort into some sort of order to speed up our process we do appreciate your help, however our volunteers and staff are happy to sort the materials into categories to ensure the highest recycling / reuse rate possible.

Unfortunately due to lack of demand, legislation and viability
we do not currently able to accept:-

  • Domestic fridges - Fridges that are not 100% working. We do not have the capacity to repair fridges at present.

  • TVs – We receive no demand for the old style TVs with large backs. We happily accept flat screen TVs however.

  • Computers / Computer Monitors – We do not accept computers due to data protection laws.
We do not also except large backed computer monitors. We are happy to receive flat screen LCD screens.

  • If you would like to drop off a large quantity of items including furniture we do appreciate a phone call so we can make room for your drop off.  With all furniture dropped off we always have adequate volunteer numbers to help unload.

We do not sort household domestic waste a collection service is provided by Monmouthshire County Council.

Drop Off Hours are from 9am – 4pm Monday to Saturday.

Please note we do close for business at 4.30pm and volunteers finish at 4pm
– we appreciate it if you can take this into consideration when dropping items off.
