Hardship Scheme in South Wales

Homemakers Hardship Scheme was formed in 2010 to help support people who have been left in a crisis situation or left homeless with no means to help furnish a home. We raise funds to help support giving away free furniture to those individuals and families.

We also require funding to cover the cost of storage, loss of income through sales, delivery costs, volunteer and staff costs. Homemakers is only able to help when funding is available.

Wallich Clifford

Wallich Clifford is a homelessness charity and have been working with homeless and vulnerable people for over 25 years.

It works to find lasting solutions to homelessness and prevent its occurrence by working with those who are in danger of becoming homeless.

Phoenix Domestic Abuse Service

Domestic Abuse is the actual or threatened physical, emotional, psychological, sexual or financial abuse of a person by their partner, family member or someone with whom there is, or has been, a close relationship.

Domestic Abuse also relates to allowing or causing a child to witness domestic abuse.

Women's Aid Monmouthshire Ltd

WAIMON is the leading domestic abuse agency in Monmouthshire. It is a charity that offers practical and emotional support and information to women and children who are experiencing domestic abuse, or have experienced domestic abuse in the past.

Shelter Cymru

Shelter Cymru works for the prevention of homelessness and the improvement of housing conditions in Wales, and the right of everyone to a safe, suitable, affordable home.

Hafan Cymru

Are a charitable organisation focused on Preventing Abuse and Promoting Independence for women, men and children escaping Domestic Violence and educating the youth of Wales about abuse and its consequences.

Melin Homes

Melin Homes is a registered social landlord. Melin were created in 2007 and own and manage over 3,500 properties in Blaenau Gwent Monmouthshire, Torfaen, Newport and Powys. 

Melin are a major provider of affordable homes in South East Wales.

Monmouthshire Housing Association

Monmouthshire Housing Association (MHA) Ltd was established on 21st January 2008 to receive the housing stock of Monmouthshire County Council (MCC) through a large scale voluntary transfer. The Association is a new Industrial and Provident Society (IPS), managed by a voluntary board and an executive management team.
